ADELE GEIGER

Trauma &Resiliency

“So, why didn’t you leave?” That’s a question I’ve been asked a lot. One simple reason, especially if you have experienced gaslighting, is that you think that you caused it. The abuser made you believe that you caused it – it’s your fault. You have been intimidated to believe that there is no way out and if you do leave you have been isolated and lied about to the point that you are scared you will have nobody.

I want people to know that there is a way out. And, you can heal and accept what is and take the responsibility to adjust and adapt through trauma. “Sometimes the fear won’t go away. So, you’ll have to do it afraid.” You can!

Adele’s story is one that thousands of women can relate to. Sharing your life with an abuser, wreaks havoc on your personal, social, and physical well-being. However, as Adele is living proof, there is a way out, and you can heal, and you can live a life filled with peace and joy.

As a keynote speaker, Adele shares her story of courage, strength, and resiliency with women of all walks of life.  As she shares in her powerful presentation, when we refer to ourselves as a victim or survivor of abuse, we anchor ourselves to that identity, and ultimately to our past, which prevents us from moving forward.

Adele is a strong woman, who has experienced life with an abuser. However, that experience does not define who she is today. Adele is a musician, avid reader, lover of the arts, great cook (according to her family), supporter of all people and their rights to empowerment, and a firm believer that we all have something very important to offer this world using our unique gifts!
